Statue Installation
On Friday, December 15, 2023, the statue of St. James the Less, chosen to be a disciple after St. James the Greater, was nevertheless the first to be installed inside the Cathedral. (See photo gallery below.) William D. Williamson and his team from Williamson Lumber and Millwork designed and created custom-built pedestals in accord with Father J.J. Mech’s artistic vision.
Significant Steps
Full permissions have been granted, full funding has been promised or already paid, and we are moving ahead! Our wood artisan, Will Williamson, has been busy creating the custom pedestals for the statues, and our signage design team is on the job. We have our sights fixed on a grand opening by the end of 2023. Please pray with us that all goes smoothly!
